An old (ca. 1925) and uncommon flower holder with its original metal works. 

The flower holder has a drape motif and measures
4 1/2 inches high by 5 inches in diameter at the widest point. 

           

Condition is excellent  with some minor wear marks on the base
and wear marks on the metal insert. 
Otherwise, no chips, cracks or repairs. The blank is heavy and the color is a rich dark amethyst.
